Introducing the Innovative Forecast Budget Feature on Springly!

Introducing the Innovative Forecast Budget Feature on Springly!

âś… Availability: December 18th

👉 Concerned Offer: Pro

Here's a feature eagerly awaited by many clients: Forecast Budget. This new feature is the result of your valuable feedback and our commitment to continually improve your experience.

Let's take a closer look!

Forecast Budget: why and for whom?

If you use Funds Accounting on Springly, likely, you've also constructed forecast budgets. This is often the case for:

  • Organizations applying for grants, needing to justify fund usage,
  • Organizations relying on donations and needing to account to their donors,
  • And generally, all organizations that want to anticipate their annual budget in connection with their projects. So, quite a few!

The advantages of the Forecast Budget on Springly

  • Direct Integration: The feature is integrated directly into your Springly platform under Accounting > Funds and allocation, thus facilitating your financial management without the need to use external tools like Excel.
  • Instant Synchronization: Your allocations are updated in real-time, allowing precise tracking of your budgetary performance relative to set goals.
  • Intuitive Visualization: Red, blue, and green progress bars show you at a glance where you stand about your forecasts.

Understanding the Color Code at a Glance

Let's take an example:

storage?id=3932410&type=picture&secret=lVXJuwxUw4iDihKEUABmJsV9eZsX1uiOPfA6Ftzk&timestamp=1701869107

Here's what it means:

  • Red Bar: The actual budget exceeds the planned budget by 100%, indicating a loss greater than expected.
    • For example, it was planned that the operational budget would lose $2000, but it currently generates a greater loss: $2500.
  • Blue Bar: The actual budget is between 0 and 100% of the planned budget, indicating that you are on the way to reaching the set goal.
    • The Spring Gala is supposed to generate a profit of $8000 for the accounting period, but it generated, it generated a profit of $7650, so 96% of the forecast rĂ©sult.
  • Green Bar: The actual budget exceeds the planned budget by 100% and is positive, meaning you have earned more than expected.
    • The Thanksgiving Gala was supposed to generate $10000 and the other events $1000, but both activities performed better than expected.

How to Access This Feature?

This brand-new feature is included in Springly's Pro offer.

To activate it, you just have to activate the Fund accounting feature - since the two are linked - from Settings > Accounting.

We sincerely hope that this little revolution will be a valuable aid in the financial management of your organization. Enjoy!
