Ability to Issue a Partial Tax Receipt

💡 Why this improvement?

Until now, AssoConnect automatically issued a tax receipt for the full amount paid, without considering the nature of the products or services purchased. This could cause issues in the case of mixed payments (donations, memberships, events…), since only donations are legally tax-deductible.

As a result, some associations chose not to issue tax receipts in order to stay compliant with tax regulations. To address this, we are introducing a more precise way to manage tax receipt eligibility. 🙌

👀 What’s changing in the tool

From now on, each price option (or “menu”) can be set as:

• Not eligible: no tax receipt will be issued;

• Fully eligible: a receipt will be issued for 100% of the paid amount;

• Partially eligible: a receipt will be issued only for the part of the amount you define as eligible.

This setting is managed directly at the price option level of each form (membership, donation, event). Default rules apply depending on the form type and whether the tax receipt feature is enabled:

• Donation forms ➡️ price options are eligible by default.

• Memberships, events ➡️ price options are not eligible by default.

• If your association has not activated the feature, no tax receipts will be generated.

🎁 How to use it?

1. Open a form (donation, membership, event).
2. In the price configuration, select the desired eligibility: “No”, “Yes – fully”, or “Yes – partially”.
3. For partial eligibility, enter the eligible amount (e.g., €20 for the meal out of a €100 menu).
4. When a tax receipt is issued, it will only cover the actually eligible amount.

⚠️ Note: if a payment is made in installments, no tax receipt will be issued, as is already the case today.
