Preventing the Accidental Deletion of a Transaction

Transaction pages have undergone a slight change: now, only those with administrative rights to Accounting - including main administrators - will be able to "Delete All" from a transaction page of a form.

Administrators without access to accounting will still see the "Refund All" button, but not the "Delete All" button.

The reason for this change is that non-accounting administrators frequently delete transactions by accident, causing accounting errors.

To clarify, deletion and refunding are two different operations:

• The "Delete All" button, visible only to administrators with access to accounting, removes all traces of the transaction.

• The "Refund All" button, accessible to administrators with access to forms, creates refund entries.

To sum up, if you can't find the "Delete All" button on a form's transaction page, it's not a technical problem. It means that this option has been removed because you don't have access to Accounting (the Accounting feature is not visible in your sidebar).
