New management of bank accounts in the accounting module

🎉 Simplify the financial management of your network: sections can now manage their own bank accounts while benefiting from secure sharing with the main organization.

Why this improvement?

Associations with a network of sections (sports clubs, cultural associations with local chapters) face challenges in managing their bank accounts:

• Complex setup to allow sections to manage their finances 💰
• Lack of flexibility in sharing accounts across organizational levels 🔄
• Rigid processes that don’t adapt to evolving needs of associations 📈

Concrete example

Let’s take the example of a Regional Sports Club with its central headquarters and 12 local sections (football, basketball, tennis, etc.).

Imagine that the basketball section wishes to use the same bank account as the judo club to run its membership campaign. This is now possible, by first transferring the bank account to the platform level of the headquarters, which will then share the account with the interested clubs.  🏆

What’s new in the application?

🏛️  Autonomy by default for sections

All sections (advanced groups) can now create and manage their own bank accounts.

🔄  Flexible ownership transfer

For those that wish, sections can transfer their rights over an account to the main organization while retaining read-only access. At that point, bank reconciliation will shift to the main organization’s side.

🤝 Granular account sharing

The main organization can share its accounts with either a selected set of sections or the entire network.

How to use it?

1. Transfer an account (Section → Organization)

A simple 3-step process:

• Click “Edit” on the desired account
• Select “Transfer to main organization”

2. Share an account (Organization → Sections)

Two sharing modes are available:

• Global sharing: with the entire network
• Selective sharing: with specific sections
